Proyecto musical creado por Jacinto Miguel Corral, quién tuvo una formación académica de Música Clásica y Contemporánea. Editó en el 2002 su primer trabajo "Elydian", bajo el seudónimo de HYACINTUS, una obra conceptual de Rock Sinfónico basada en un cuento medieval. This album was on my wishlist already for some time after a first quick listen. Now, since Carsten Pieper purchased it today, I took a closer look - and indeed, it's an outstanding work that doesn't deserve to stay any longer in the queue! Dan "Birds And Buildings" Britton & friends draw heavily on the best moments of 70's art rock, but in a creative, individual way. Note that I chose the longest track as my favorite, which happens utmost rarely... and honestly, utmost rarely I have that much fun listening to a 21-minute epic. I fully agree with Carsten that the sound quality is of secondary interest, as long as the compositions are convincing. Actually, the sound isn't so bad after all - I've got some really poorly recorded an mixed albums in my collection, which I listen to quite frequently - because the music is just great.

Came to this band very late and I must confess only because they were playing various dates with one of my firm favs Kaprekar’s Constant so I thought I’d better take a listen to what they had on offer...and well I now have all three albums and a huge convert...so much so that the neighbours will get to know them too over the next few weeks...if you ever get a chance to watch them live...you are in for a big treat...they command the stage and the audience as their own...
